Dramatic Lemur

Don't think there's much I can say about this...It's really funny all by itself. For some reason I keep watching this over & over. (And I giggle every time.)

What did that say??

Okay, I'm all for mistranslation of Japanese into the incorrect English words, as proven by my love for the website http://www.engrish.com/
But this great video cracks me up... It's not so much a mistranslation as it is a misinterpretation of the words being sung. But the results made me laugh pretty hard. Plus it has a catchy little tune that will be stuck in your head for the next couple of weeks (or until you can remove it with a sharp object)...

Added footnote: I actually found out that this song is a Swedish song called "Caramell Dansen". The real translation to English is no where NEAR as funny as the misinterpreted lyrics above.

Happy 2008??

So we are 9 days into the new year... For those of you who know me well, this year is going to be a year of big changes. The good thing about all of this change is that it's reminded me just how much my family and friends care about me. I was terrified of telling my parents about the divorce and thought for sure they would berate me for "being a quitter" or be disappointed in me for "being a failure". But shortly after telling them, my mother sent me an email that literally made me cry. The encouragement she gave me was nothing short of pure unconditional love. And the outpouring from my friends has kept me optimistic throughout this whole thing.
Collin & I moved into a new house this past weekend. It's an older 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom brick house on 4 acres. Yes....I said 4 acres. "Why such a big parcel of land?" you may ask... Good question! Right now, with all the snow over it, it looks lovely. But check back with me after spring hits and all that pasture starts growing. Then we'll see how much I love it. Either I'm gonna have to buy a riding lawn mower or I'm gonna need to buy some sheep or cows. Wait...sheep have smaller poop....maybe I should stick with the sheep.
I'm sure over the coming months, my new house & acreage will lend itself to all sorts of great anectodes to share with all of you. Not to mention "starting over" as a single parent again. At least Collin is out of Pull-Ups this time...
